There is loads of quality riding to be found in Hampshire, so long as you know where to look. Let backpedalling show you where it is all so you can enjoy the riding.

We’ve spent the last decade sniffing out quality singletrack. We really want to show off our favourites so you can see just how good the riding round here is.

Hampshire is home to beautiful ancient woodland and open downland in a landscape that is filled with relics of the past. Through it all snakes some perfect singletrack. Whether you’re here for riding or the scenery we can guarantee you a compelling day out.

Let Andy lead you through some of his favourite haunts for a cracking day’s riding mixing sinuous woodland trails with the big sky for which this area is famous.

Not only that but, using his experience as an environmental archaeologist, you will also discover why the countryside is like it is, what those lumps and bumps are and (with any luck) just what bird that was that flew past just now.

Hampshire may be famous for big skies, rolling downs, chalk byways and, of course, the South Downs Way. But that’s only part of the story.

If you know where to look the area is filled with ancient woodland and some choice singletrack. It really is a natural playground of swooping trails surrounded by jaw-droppingly gorgeous scenery.

Lurking in the fields and woods of the South are some incredible relics of past generations going back to the end of the ice age.

They are waiting to be found if you know where to look. Designed by two professional archaeologists and mountain bikers, our archaeo-safaris bring together top-drawer riding, amazing scenery and unbelievable archaeology.

Join us as we go in search of the past.
